Workshop on “Cutting Edge Fabrication Facilities” held on 3rd July at Fablab KUET

Two-days long workshop on “Cutting-edge Fabrication Facilities in FabLab, KUET” was organized in FabLab, KUET. In the inaugural ceremony of the workshop Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir, Vice-Chancellor of KUET was present as Chief Guest. Prof. Dr. Mihir Ranjan Halder, Dean, Faculty of ME, Prof. Dr. Sobahan Mia, Director (Student Welfare), Dr. Zahir Uddin Ahmed, Deputy Sub-Project Manager of Fablab were present in the workshop as Special Guests. Prof. Dr. Md. Mahbub Hasan, Manager of Fablab, KUET presided over the event. After the inaugural session, two technical sessions entitled “3D printing Democratizes Smart Sensing and Instrumentations” and  “Laser cutter: how it works and when to use it” were conducted by Dr. Md. Arafat Hossain, Assistant Professor, EEE, KUET and Engr. Tamanna Islam Urmi, Product Designer, ME SOLshare Ltd. Dhaka respectively. Practical demonstration on 3D printer and Laser Cutter were also included in the event. The event was ended through a question-answer and idea session where the participants eagerly and contently represented their queries for relevant knowledge and shared their valuable ideas for further betterment of this facility.
